REAL - Straight stitches that do not touch the designs.Lot number and size number should not be the same color as design.The Selvedge
FAKE - Stitching on both sides.
REAL - Stitching runs only through the middle.The Inside Tag
FAKE - Less than 1 1/2 inch long, no silver thread, faded design.
REAL - 1 3/4 inch long, silver thread above the size, sharp design.The Paper Tag
FAKE - Looks like a photocopy.
REAL - Sharp, bright colors.Since there are so many dishonest people all over the web pushing cheap imitations you are probably thinking that it is impossible to buy an authentic pair of designer denim at a discount. I know this post is really old but I am completely stumped with a pair of Evisu jeans I just bought. They aren't selvedge and are made in China, but I looked through some of your guides and it seems like there were some lower quality ones made like this that are still authentic.
